Ballykissane Coastal Rowing Regatta 2008
Killorglin Rowing Club were well represented at the Ballykissane Coastal Rowing regatta held on a sunny Sunday, July 27th 2008. We came back with 4 wins in all.
A big well done to the girls U12 crew of Kassie, Caoimhe, Cara and Maura who won in great style. They very nearly made it a double in the mixed U12 race but got narrowly pipped on the line by Cromane.
The girls U14 crew continued their winning ways and well done also to the minor boys crew and the u18 boys crew who won their races.
All in all a very nice sunny Sunday. Hopefully we’ll have a few more of them before the summer runs out

Cromane Coastal Regatta 2008
The Wildflower and the rowers of Killorglin Rowing Club made the short journey over to Cromane to compete in the coastal regatta 2008.
The girls U14 team had a very close race for 3rd place in their race but just got pipped at the line. The U16 boys were rowing well up until the turn when they got into difficulties with some of their oars!
I wasn’t there for the rest of the regatta but heard that the boys U18 crew won their race. Well done! I didn’t hear how the senior crew did, so if you know more news post a comment please

Ballinskelligs Coastal Rowing Regatta 2008
Grey clouds and a heavy thick mist greeted the Killorglin Rowers as they competed in the Ballinskelligs regatta on Sunday. It was time for our coastal boat, the Wild Flower, to hit the waves and we had two crews competing in the boys under 16 and the mens senior events.
The U16 crew did very well fighting a very close battle for 2nd place but just loosing out in the end.
I wasn’t there for the other races but have heard that we came 1st in the minor boys race and in the mens senior race we finished in 3rd place.
Well done everyone! More pictures available here…
