End of Season County Regatta Great Success

Killorglin U12 Girls heading for gold

Killorglin Rowing Club hosted the end of season Kerry County championship regatta on Sunday 14th September. Twelve clubs from around the county participated with almost 100 crews competing. It was a fantastic regatta and a big thank you to Mary B on doing a great job commentating on all the races. This regatta also saw the maiden voyage of the Killorglin men’s PreVet crew who fought off Callenafercy to come 2nd in their race in a very close finish. We also had an impromptu mixed Vet crew who did very well in their race.

All in all Killorglin did very well taking home 6 wins, and lots of silver and bronse as well. Here are the results for Killorglin…

1st: Under 12 Girls, Under 14 Girls A, Under 16 Girls, Under 18 Ladies, Under 18 Boys and Under 21 Men

2nd: Under 14 Girls B, Under 14 mixed, Vet Mixed, Prevet Men, Junior Ladies, Intermediate Men and Senior Ladies

3rd: Under 16 Boys, Under 21 Ladies and Junior Men
