Killorglin Rowing Club had another great weekend at the Irish National Rowing Championships. First win for Killorglin was the Women’s Novice Quadruple Scull of Meabh O’Sullivan, Aileen Crowley, Zoe Hyde and Molly O’Sullivan coxed by Deirdre O’Donoghue beating Garda Rowing Club by 2 and a half boat lengths and Neptune Rowing Club coming third. Our second win was the Women’s Junior 15 Quad of Meabh O’Sullivan, Meave McGillycuddy, Zoe Hyde and Molly O’Sullivan coxed by Deirdre O’Donoghue winning their race comfortably. Next to win for Killorglin were Women’s Intermediate Double of Meave McGillycuddy and Monika Dukarska beating Cork Boat Club by 3 boat lengths. Finally the big win of the weekend having Killorglin represented in the Women’s Senior Quadruple Scull by Monika Dukarska in a composite crew with Lisa Dilleen (Tribesmen), Sanita Puspure (OCBC) and Alice O’Sullivan ( University of Limerick) which is likely to be the Irish Senior heavy weight quad for World Cup 2011 season.

The club is now taking well deserved two weeks holidays and we will be back into winter training in October.
