A big Thank You from Killorglin Rowing Club to everyone who bought tickets, supported us on the night and donated spot prizes at our recent Fund Raising dance in the Manor. Music was supplied by the lively “Swinging Jarvey” and we saw some wonderful dancing on the night. We hope everyone enjoyed it and we hope to see you all again next year.
Our heart felt thanks to Champs Eurospar, Declan & Brid Crowley, Keane’s Supervalu, Moriarty’s Furniture, Kenneth ONeill Milltown, Killorglin Creamery & Woods Electrical who gave the spot prizes on this night.
We also give our heartfelt thanks to all who customers who donated funds at our recent bag backing event in Keane’s Supervalu on Saturday, 23rd October and also to Keane’s Supervalu for facilitating the club on the day.
Killorglin Rowing Club is a voluntary club and rowing is an expensive sport. The Management and the rowers are extremely grateful to our local community who continue to support us as without this support our club would not be afloat!
Well done also to our 3 International Rowers, Monika Dukaski, Aileen Crowley and Maeve McGillycuddy who attended a 5 day Development Training Camp in Enniskillen with the Irish team during their mid term break from school. Mike Fleming, one of our senior coach as also invited to Enniskillen to assist the Irish teams with their training. We wish the girls the best of luck for the future and we look forward to seeing them rowing for Ireland again. Monika, our senior rower is training hard with her sights set on the Olympics so Killorglin watch this space!
