St. Michael’s Head of the River 2012

Killorglin Rowing Club athletes  will take part in the first event of 2012 which is St. Michaels Head of the River. The race is held on 28th of January at O’Brien’s Bridge in Limerick over 3,500m. The event  starts at 9am and finished at 4pm. Boys and girls will race against the clock with the winner of each category being announced after the event.

We have a group of 14 athletes travelling and we will compete in the Women’s Junior 15 Quads and Women’s  Senior and Junior 15 Single Scull categories. The boys will compete against 30 crews from all over Ireland in the Men’s Junior 15 Quad and in Men’s Junior 16 Quad races.

Our next event after St. Mick’s Head of the River is Cork Head of the River on 18th of February 2012 on Marina in Cork.

Trials, Newry February 2012

Two of our athletes, Monika Dukarska and Zoe Hyde have been re-invited to take part in the second assessment to Irish Team held in Newry on 11th and 12th of February. The girls will take part in 2,000m erg test on Saturday and 5,000m row on Sunday.

Third assessment will be held in April over 2,000m. We hope to see both girls there.
