Unfortunately our days racing at Limerick Regatta was cut short last Saturday. We were entered in 7 races, but only got to race in 3 before racing was suspended as the winds got stronger and stronger as the day went on, making racing conditions on the Shannon dangerous. Damage caused by a launch to one of the lines marking the lanes resulted in Limerick Regatta being suspended.
Those that did go ahead and race earlier in the day were:
Mens U16 Singles: Rob Shaw 2nd in heat,
Connor Dee 3rd in heat
Ladies U16 quad – 2nd in Heat (Zoe Hyde, Kerri Fay, Emma Murphy, Dearbhaill Ryan.)
Junior Men U15 quad were also 2nd in their heat (John Francis O’Grady, Kieran (O’Sullivan), Kieran (Morris), Sean Houlihan
Lets hope this weather improves before next weekend, when we are off to Lee Regetta in Cork, May 18th.
