Killorglin Rowing Club seeks an Assistant Coach to support our junior programme for the 2016/2017 rowing season.
The successful candidate will assist the head coach and directly contribute to all areas of coaching on and off the water, including strength training and specific rowing skills development.
The successful applicant will work closely with the head coach and program coordinator to ensure a professional and consistent approach to the junior program and services, supporting the philosophy of rowing for all ages, from beginners to elite rowers.
This is an opportunity to develop your coaching skills in a practical, hands on manner with the potential to become a fully qualified coach and coordinate your own training squad. Successful candidate will attend specific rowing courses and will be trained in a supportive work environment.
The post will commence in October 2016. This posts include early morning, evening or weekend work capped at 19.5hrs per week. This is a CE scheme position and eligibility to participate on CE scheme is linked to those over 25 years old and in receipt of social welfare payment for 1 year or more.
The candidate is required to be Garda Vetted. No rowing qualification necessary as training will be provided by Killorglin Rowing Club & Rowing Ireland.
