COASTAL ROWING INFORMATION

Killorglin Rowing Club is the only rowing Club in Kerry that takes part in Olympic style of rowing (slider rowing) as well as traditional and One-Design Coastal Rowing. Coastal rowing takes place annually from the 1st of May till the 31st of August on River Laune in Killorglin. Coastal rowing timetable is available by the end of April for all wishing to take part.

Who can do coastal rowing? Anyone!

We take on kids as young as under 12’s. Coastal rowing accommodates individuals of all ages. Categories of coastal rowing include:

Under 12’s, 14’s, 16’s, 18’s, U21’s (boys and girls)

Senior

Pre-Vet (over 35’s)

Vet (over 45’s)

Coastal boat accommodates 4 people at a time. Cox is a person that steers the boat.

Please note that ALL MEMBERS MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM AT LEAST 100M UNASSISTED!

*All under 18’s must wear a lifejacket while in a costal boat.
